Natural is a San Francisco fintech building payments and financial-account infrastructure designed for autonomous AI agents rather than human-initiated transactions — an orchestration layer letting agents hold funds, pay, get paid, and settle with humans and other agents without a human approving each transaction. Unlike most consumer-checkout-focused agentic-payments entrants, Natural concentrates on B2B and embedded payment workflows, with early design partners spanning logistics, property management, procurement, healthcare, and construction — verticals where agents can source, negotiate, and pay vendors or contractors in real time. Founded in 2025 by CEO Kahlil Lalji (previously co-founded Ivella, sold to Earnin in 2023) with Eric Wang and Walt Leung (ex-Nextdoor engineering manager), the company has kept its team deliberately lean — about 5 employees at its October 2025 seed, roughly 10 by its July 2026 Series A, with plans to reach ~25 — while hiring senior staff from Stripe, Ramp, and Square. It emerged from stealth in October 2025 with a $9.8M seed co-led by Abstract and Human Capital, and announced a $30M Series A in July 2026 led by Kirsten Green at Forerunner Ventures, bringing total funding to roughly $40M.
