Vesta

AI-native mortgage loan origination system where loan staff and AI agents work the same files
Vesta builds an AI-native loan origination system (LOS) for mortgage lenders. Human staff and AI agents work on the same loan files inside one platform, and lenders configure how much work agents do without human approval: document review, data validation, cross-checks, underwriting decisions, clearing conditions and closing reviews. It also offers a personal assistant for loan staff and 'swarms' of agents that people can deploy to finish tasks faster. Lenders on the platform or migrating to it originate more than $100B of mortgages a year, and about 40% of tasks completed through Vesta are now handled by AI agents and automated workflows (company claims). Pennymac reported a 25% cut in its operational cost to originate and roughly 50% loan-officer efficiency gains even before switching agents on. Revenue is up 12x year over year, against under 5% market share (TechCrunch). It was founded in San Francisco in November 2020 by CEO Mike Yu, an early product manager at Blend, and Devon Yang, Blend's first engineering hire. On 2026-10-08 it announced a $30M Series B led by Conversion Capital, with lenders Pennymac, New American Funding, NBKC Bank and FirstKey Mortgage among the investors, bringing total funding to $85M.
