Which firms back the most $1B+ companies?
A weekly leaderboard built from the disclosed investor lists across every tracked private company: how many $1B+ companies each firm backs, its combined backed-company footprint, sector tilt, IPO pipeline, and closest co-investors. Footprint is not ownership — a firm on a $100B company is credited the full $100B though it owns a sliver. Tap any firm for its holdings.

Records Board.Top VC firms by US unicorns — the Stanford ranking, beside ours
The Stanford GSB Venture Capital Initiative ranks VC firms by how many US unicorns they backed before the company reached $1B (pre-unicorn investments only). Reproduced with attribution and shown next to the QuantLogix footprint rank so you can see where a firm's early-conviction record and its present-day $1B+ footprint agree — and where they don't. Two different questions; the counts are never combined.

benchmark. The people who write the checks
Firms don't invest — partners do. A curated roster of named individual investors and the firm each invests for. Every name here is also on that firm's tracked partner roster, so each one opens a full people profile: their firm affiliations, the companies they're tied to, and their co-investors. A dated roster, not live employment data — and editorial prominence, not a ranking.
Who Owns the Unicorns is a footprint leaderboard computed from disclosed investor lists; backed footprint is the combined valuation of companies a firm is listed on, NOT its ownership, stake, or AUM. It is not a statement about any firm's holdings or any company's finances, and not investment advice; disclosed figures are not real-time.
