It preserves application state, retries failed steps and resumes work after crashes or outages in the services it calls — the plumbing beneath multi-step AI agents, which fail in exactly those ways as they take on more critical work across more systems. Co-founded in 2019 by CEO Samar Abbas and CTO Maxim Fateev, veterans of Amazon, Microsoft and Uber, the Bellevue-based, remote-first company says OpenAI, NVIDIA, Netflix and JPMorgan Chase run on it.
