DigitalBridge and IFM Investors took it private in a $11B buyout in December 2022; SoftBank Investment Advisers agreed to acquire DigitalBridge itself in December 2025, putting Switch inside SoftBank's AI-infrastructure orbit.

The AI data-center repricing has moved far past the $11B take-private: Reuters reported in July 2026 that Switch had hired banks for an IPO that could raise up to $10B as soon as Q4 and value it near $80B including debt, after discussions with private investors at $40B or more. Neither is closed, so the roster keeps the last confirmed transaction price.
