Flow Engineering

Requirements management and AI agents for hardware teams: a live systems graph linking requirements, architecture, CAD, simulation and test
Flow Engineering builds a requirements and systems-engineering platform for hardware teams that iterate like software companies. Instead of a static requirements database, Flow keeps requirements, architecture, interfaces, budgets and tests in a live systems graph tied into CAD, simulation, code and test tools, so engineers can branch a proposed change and see its impact before it merges; its v3 release in June 2026 added AI agents for impact analysis, mass/cost/power budgets and compliance. Customers include Rivian (about 1,500 engineers designing R1, R2 and R3 in Flow), Joby, Skydio, Astranis, Stoke, Isar Aerospace, Pacific Fusion and Xcimer Energy, and in February 2026 Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies (RV Tech) signed a three-year strategic partnership to run their software-defined-vehicle engineering on it. Founder and CEO Pari Singh, a London-raised Imperial College mechanical engineer, raised an $8.5M seed led by EQT Ventures in 2022 and a $23M Series A led by Sequoia in October 2025, when the company moved its headquarters from London to San Francisco and Roelof Botha joined the board.

Products

  • Flow requirements platform - iterative requirements and key design parameters (mass, power, thermal, interfaces) that every mechanical, electrical and software engineer works from, with branching, merging and baselines
  • Systems graph - requirements, architecture, interfaces, components, tests and compliance evidence linked in one flexible data model so a change shows its downstream impact
  • Flow Agents (Flow v3, launched June 2026) - impact-analysis, mass/cost/power budget and safety/regulatory compliance agents plus user-built agents that propagate changes across CAD, simulation, code and test
  • Integrations - CAD (Dassault, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, SolidWorks), simulation (ANSYS, Abaqus), GitHub, and test tooling (LabVIEW, TestStand, dSPACE)
  • Regulated deployments - cloud, GovCloud or self-hosted, with ITAR/EAR alignment, NIST 800-171/CUI and SOC 2 Type II
