A finance dashboard for founders and small businesses: a monthly P&L from your real transactions, budget vs actual, where the money goes, revenue and customer concentration, cash and runway, goals and scenario planning. Connect the business bank, paste a CSV, import a statement or P&L, or tell QL Intelligence your numbers. Personal money lives in QL Budget — same account, same imports.
Ask about your money — spending, cash flow, goals, retirement — or tell it what to add to this dashboard (“add a chart of my grocery spend by month”, “hide the what-if sandbox”). Every number comes from your transactions, accounts, goals and retirement sync. Uses your monthly AI allowance.
🧩 Your modules
Built with QL Intelligence · computed from your data
Business financials
Revenue, costs & operating profit
Monthly revenue and total costs (cost of goods + operating expenses) from your transactions, with operating profit.
Margins
Gross margin (after cost of goods) and operating margin (after every operating expense), by month.
Where the money went
Investment allocation ladder
Insights
Rule-based reads of your plan and actuals — deterministic, no model.
Profit & loss statement
Cash-basis P&L built from the business transaction tape (transfers excluded). Budget is your plan lines × months in the period; variance is green when it helps profit. Owner draw sits below operating profit.
Budget vs actual
Monthly cash flow
Where it goes
Planned monthly spend by category, as a share of income. Bars are the plan; the tick is last month's actual where transactions exist.
Actual vs plan
Spend by category, by month
Cost of goods and operating expenses; owner draw excluded. The six largest categories keep their colour everywhere.
Cost structure
Top vendors
What is changing
Average monthly spend over the last 3 full months against the 3 before, and months where a category ran well above its usual level.
Recurring costs
Same vendor, at least 3 months, amount within 15% — subscriptions, rent, retainers.
Revenue by stream
Monthly revenue split by income category.
Month-over-month growth
Revenue change against the prior month.
Customers
Cash in & out
Money in (revenue) against money out (costs + owner draw), with the net for each month.
Month-end cash
12-month projection
Business accounts
Balances behind cash on hand, runway and the reserve. Edit them in Accounts below, or link the business bank to keep them live.
Goals
Targets tracked against your actuals — monthly revenue, fiscal-year revenue, margins, spend caps, cash and reserve. Status projects the current trend to the goal date.
Add a goal
Scenario planner
Cash under each scenario
Your scenario against the three presets. Below zero means the business needs funding before that month.

Revenue

Reserves & retirement
What the business already routes to the tax reserve, operating reserve and SEP-IRA each month. The profit allocation on the Overview tab compares this to the plan.
Accounts
Business checking and savings balances seed cash on hand, runway, the reserve and the projection. Bank links refresh them.
Transactions
Imported, synced or chat-recorded lines. Change a category to teach the actuals; transfers between your own accounts are excluded from spending.
Settings & assumptions
Everything the profit allocation, reserve, projection and fiscal year depend on.
Import a file
Paystub, bank or card statement, budgeting spreadsheet, P&L, or a screenshot of any of them — PDF, PNG, JPEG, WebP or XLSX up to 3 MB. QL Intelligence extracts the lines; nothing is saved until you accept. Uses your monthly AI allowance. CSV exports go through the CSV door instead (free, exact).
Review before adding
Paste or upload a CSV
Any bank or card export with a header row (Date, Description, Amount — or Debit / Credit columns). Parsed exactly, no model, no allowance used. Card statements with charges listed positive are detected and flipped.
Connect a bank
Link a checking, savings or credit-card account through Plaid to sync 90 days of transactions and live balances into the budget. Uses the Plaid connection quota of your plan (Starter+). Brokerage links made on the Portfolio tab stay separate — this link asks only for transactions.
