QL Short Desk Pro+

The top 20 short candidates, ranked by conviction — where conviction is a bearish thesis multiplied by how safely the position can be exited.
Most short screens rank a bearish thesis and stop. That is why they surface names you cannot borrow, cannot exit, or that are already crowded enough to squeeze. Here, conviction = bearish thesis × exit safety. Exit safety is penalised by days-to-cover, short interest as a share of float, thin float, and sustained short volume. Names that fail a hard veto — illiquid exit, crowded squeeze risk, thin float, small-cap borrow risk — do not rank at any thesis strength. Every candidate is also cross-checked against the QL Research library: a name whose bearish thesis we have already marked invalidated, or that carries an open bullish thesis, is refused regardless of how bearish the price signal looks. A live bear thesis lifts the score.
