Summation

AI analysts for operations and finance teams — verified, exec-ready analysis built from a company's own data
Summation (Summation Technologies, Inc.) builds what it calls a decision-grade AI platform: teams of AI analysts that sit on top of a company's existing data systems, run thousands of analyses in parallel and surface connections across fragmented sources, compressing work that took weeks of manual preparation into minutes. The platform automates financial reconciliation, variance analysis and management reporting for operations and finance leaders, and the company's pitch is trust rather than generation — analysis traceable to source and defensible in the room, which it contrasts with general-purpose assistants. It was founded in January 2024 by CEO Ian Wong, a co-founder and former CTO of Opendoor and Square's first data scientist, with CTO Ramachandran "RC" Ramarathinam, who led Opendoor's core transaction platform. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, it came out of stealth on 2025-10-01 with $35M from Benchmark, which led the seed, and Kleiner Perkins, which led the Series A, and fewer than 40 employees across engineering, product and go-to-market. It launched Reports — verified, repeatable executive analysis — on 2026-04-28, and on 2026-09-10 opened the product to self-serve signup at $60 and $200 per user per month after a year of enterprise deployments it says included Fanatics, Lineage and Grid. No round has ever carried a disclosed valuation, so this row is unpriced. Not to be confused with the litigation e-discovery product Summation (AccessData/Exterro), with Summation Bio, or with Summation Research.
