Outerlimit emerged from stealth on 22 September 2026 with a $16M pre-seed round from AlbionVC, Evolution Equity Partners and Crane Venture Partners, which the company calls one of the largest pre-seed rounds in cybersecurity. It builds a decentralised security and authorisation layer for agentic AI that binds identity, authorisation and action at the moment an agent invokes a tool: credentials and secrets are fragmented across the agent environment and reassembled only when identity, policy and execution context are verified. The company was founded by Tony Pepper (CEO) and Neil Larkins, who led Egress Software to its 2024 acquisition by KnowBe4, and theoretical neuroscientist Dr Peter Vincent (CTO).
