Fortaegis Technologies

Quantum-safe secure compute rooted in the physical properties of silicon
Fortaegis Technologies builds a full-stack "Secure Compute" architecture that roots security in the physical properties of silicon: the chip's own manufacturing variations generate quantum-resistant encryption keys on demand, so no key is permanently stored on the device. The company says the approach is quantum-safe by design and has measured machine-to-machine connection speeds more than 200x faster than conventional software cryptography in internal and customer testing, on a portfolio of 17 patents with 14 more pending. It ships today on FPGAs in server-rack, ruggedized-edge, compact-edge and embedded form factors, with custom ASICs on the roadmap and commercial manufacturing targeted for 2027; target markets are AI data centres, defense, autonomous systems, telecommunications and critical infrastructure. Founded in October 2023 in Amsterdam by CEO Boudewijn Wijnands and chaired by Quantinuum founder Ilyas Khan, it raised a $50M oversubscribed Series A on 13 September 2026 led by returning investor Serendipity Capital, with TEL Venture Capital (Tokyo Electron), the Dutch research organisation TNO and Prodrive Technologies participating. No valuation was disclosed.
