Astro Digital designs, manufactures, launches and operates mission-configurable satellites and provides mission support for earth observation, communications, space infrastructure and defense. Since 2018 it has delivered nearly 40 satellites across 16 mission types for 30+ customers, including NASA, the Department of Defense, Boeing and Sony. Its platforms carried Starcloud-1, which put the first NVIDIA H100 GPU into orbit in November 2025; Mandrake, which demonstrated optical inter-satellite links for DARPA and the Space Development Agency; and Starfish Space's Otter Pup 1 and 2 docking demonstrations. It began as a satellite-imaging company (the Landmapper constellation, with agriculture customers) before becoming a satellite builder. The company reports revenue growth at a 42% two-year CAGR, positive adjusted EBITDA and a backlog that doubled last year. Headquartered in Denver, with operations in California and Australia; co-founder Chris Biddy is CEO. On 2026-09-28 it agreed to go public by merging with the SPAC Proem Acquisition Corp I (Nasdaq: PAAC) at a pro forma enterprise value of about $587M, with closing expected in Q1 2027.
