Broad risk-off tone after Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish Jackson Hole speech. Small caps hit hardest (-1.39%); precious metals and crypto selling off sharply. VIX barely budged — market treating this as positioning reset, not panic.

Top Story: Hawkish Fed Reverses Green Open

Warsh signaled rate cuts unlikely in 2026 and hikes still on the table. The 2Y Treasury yield jumped; September cut expectations were pared back. Growth names took the brunt — NVDA gave back an initial +8.4% post-earnings pop to close -4.46%. S&P and Nasdaq had been green before the speech.

Position takeaway: Higher-for-longer is back as the base case. Duration-sensitive growth names vulnerable near-term; watch for rotation into cash-generative quality and AI monetization stories (vs. pure AI capex beneficiaries).

NVIDIA Q2 FY2027 — Blowout, Then Fed Whiplash

Stock initially +8.4%, then fully reversed on Fed hawkishness. Separately, Citadel sold 6.8M NVDA shares (-36% of position) while keeping it a top-5 holding — rotating toward AMZN/MSFT for tangible AI monetization. AWS expanded its NVDA partnership: +2M GPUs over 2 years on top of 1M+ Blackwell/Rubin already planned. NVDA also entering CPU market with ~$20B revenue projection.

June quarter was a record: $109.4B revenue (+16% YoY), EPS +29%, double-digit growth across iPhone/Mac/Services and all geos.
